Lily is a welcoming force who provides effective and efficient support to orchestrating many of the studio’s ‘behind the scenes’ activities. With a family background in the design industry, she’s inspired by the creative process and the challenges of producing great architecture.
Favorite Duda|Paine project?
The Dillon—it was the first Duda|Paine project I visited after joining the firm. Watching the design process and seeing how the team tackled various obstacles to turn their vision into spectacular reality was amazing. Some of my favorite elements are the color-changing elevator shafts and the “sky window”—these add eye-catching punch to Raleigh’s skyline.
What aspect of your job most interests you?
I interact with new people every day and learn their diverse stories. From Monterrey, Mexico, to New York, New York, I have the pleasure of working with so many intelligent and interesting people from all over the world.
What attracted you to architecture?
Growing up, my father was in the design industry. Being surrounded by drafting tables, blueprints and an archaic version of AutoCAD designs inspired me from a young age to pursue a career in this creative and innovative field.
