Xiao’s interest in exploring the possibilities of architecture—from initial concept, to the development of construction details development, and on to delivery of a completed project—adds insight and value to Duda|Paine’s projects. He provides meticulous solutions to architectural design challenges and is inspired by improving the everyday lives of occupants and users through design.
Before he came to US, Xiao earned a Bachelor of Information Technology in Wuhan, China. Xiao’s background in computer programming and data processing inspired him to receive a Master of Architecture from NC State University. At the firm, Xiao experiments with diverse building typologies as an expert in digital rendering. He is motivated by creative processes and the exploration of different ideas that contribute to shaping a purposefully built environment.
