Bal’Zac Tower

Against a backdrop of the Sierra Las Mitras, Balzac Towers’ signature form merges design and function to create a distinctive highly-connected live/work environment. The building geometry bends and folds to maximize sweeping city and mountain views from all levels. Angled surfaces rise from a retail and parking podium to generous, open-office levels and on to gracious amenity floors and the luxury apartments above.

An investigation into native carvings, weaving and artifacts led to an architectural convergence of innovation and culture. Reflective glass and terra cotta patterning across the building facades allows sunlight and shading to present an ever-changing skyline profile. The patterning transforms into generous balcony spaces at residential levels. A podium roof garden serves lounge and dining spaces, while amenity levels of conference, multipurpose and fitness facilities transition from office uses to residences.

At the ground level, the project will ultimately join a network of pedestrian pathways and commercial and greenspace development that is connecting and redefining Monterrey’s Cumbres del Valle district.
