Design for Pioneer’s new headquarters and 35-acre campus creates a unified, forward-thinking complex founded in the organization’s culture and appreciation for the Irving community. Inspiration for the “family-like” work environment came from a critical aspect of the work and mission of employees—exploration of the earth’s layers—and the history and beauty of the site. Located on the highest geographic point in a larger mixed-use development, two building wings flank a central collaboration hub tower. The overall form and patterned curtainwall exterior present a progressive and contemporary profile. Within, extensive amenities include an employee cafeteria, coffee shop, daycare center and fitness center.

The design focuses on collaboration, flexibility, high-tech systems and environmental stewardship. Interior spaces facilitate flexible working and meeting styles, employee interaction and engagement, and provide places for the socializing and impromptu conversations that nurture innovation. The ground level opens to its surroundings, providing employees ready access to nature as part of their everyday work experience.
