Constitucion 999
Monterrey, Mexico
The music of Mexican composer Agustín Lara informed the master plan design to reinvigorate an underdeveloped urban corridor adjacent to the Santa Catarina River in downtown Monterrey. A desire for connectivity and an in-depth analysis of the context informed the creation of a series of cultural, retail, park and plaza spaces infused with installations of public art. These spaces collectively form a pedestrian corridor that links new development to the city’s existing urban fabric and ends at La Gran Plaza, or Macroplaza—the 7th largest plaza in the world.
