As designers of both higher education and corporate environments, we are seeing the emergence of a conceptual bridge between the needs of 21st-century learning and corporate America. In large part, this confluence is fueled by a younger generation looking for a work environment that is flexible, varied and amenitized. The marketplace for all sectors is constantly evolving thanks to technological, cultural and economic forces. However, this generational shift seems significant for those of us who create buildings and spaces.
