Office/Retail/Mixed-Use Award of Merit: Pioneer Natural Resources Corporate Headquarters

Exterior glass is a major component of this 1-million-sq-ft corporate headquarters. To successfully install the building’s exterior glass system, Austin Commercial’s team flew to North Carolina to consult with Harmon Glass about the best approach. Ultimately, the strategy saved millions of dollars for the owner. For the wood ceiling in the employee lobby, Austin took the original design—which would have required the ceiling to be custom made—and worked with subcontractors to create a custom look that standardized the installation process at a reduced cost. The 10-story corporate office building and a seven-story precast parking garage were delivered on time and on budget.
