Jack has always felt compelled to make and build new things. First learning to communicate ideas visually as a newspaper editor and page designer, he discovered that architecture presents boundless opportunities to turn abstract ideas into physical reality and, ultimately, contribute to his community’s built world. He appreciates the magical transformation that happens when an idea evolves from an abstract concept into form, space and experience.
Jack appreciates designs that gain layers of meaning and insight as teams collaborate on sketching, modeling, creating virtual environments and preparing construction documents. He enjoys the cooperative process that leads to rich and inspired architecture.
He’s a salty lifelong boater, big music nerd and compulsive woodworker. Outside the studio, you’ll find Jack tinkering with wooden boats and electric guitars in his workshop/shed.
